Sub Rosa - a stealth restaurant and wine bar
Thank You

There are so many invisible people to thank in a project like this.

All the images used on this site were borrowed. God bless the Internet and the rich mother lode of photos and graphics available. If there were a commercial venture, we would not use these pictures. But given this is for our own amusement, I guess we don't feel so bad even though technically there are rampant copyright violations. If you feel you have been taken advantage of, write us and we will remove the offending image.

The same goes for the music found on this site. Sub Rosa is involved in both a music trading and archiving live shows. We trade exclusively live shows that are outside the purveyance and control of ASCAP, BMI and other musical watchdogs. Music from many sources fills the distillery and the home dining room every day. Some of this music makes it to this site for you to listen to as well. If you like something you have heard, we encourage you go buy an album of that artist and show your support and if you can, see them live. These people work hard for a living and the record industry isn't set up to reward but a precious few.

As far as running an illegal and stealth restaurant goes, all you health inspectors, City and State bureaus who regulate such things, not to worry. This is all still virtual and a damn sight less expensive than operating a real restaurant. So chill. We're just having fun here.

And the recipes - the jungle drums of Sub Rosa. Many of these recipes are our own. We also borrow freely from things we've read, cook books we love, the 'net ... everywhere. We try them out, make a few changes - hopefully for the better. Where we've borrowed them, we try to indicate a source or at least the point of inspiration.

What we've tried to do here is cobble together a snapshot of our lives around the structure of a virtual restaurant. We entertain enough, it seems like a mini restaurant at times. If you've had dinner at our house, you've eaten at Sub Rosa. It's just not a commercial venture. Sorry.

So there you have it. Sub Rosa in a nutshell. Virtual, but a whole lot of fun none-the-less.

And last but not least: thanks to Arbre for web site design; to Sub Rosa Spirits for giving up a space in your outbuilding and to our staff of Goddesses.

Father forgive them
