Sub Rosa - a stealth restaurant and wine bar
Sub Rosa is the fantasy of a single mind. Delusion may be more accurate. Some say it is a long love letter to my wife. Whatever you think... that's what it is. See how easy we are?!

It's been said that Mike Sherwood is your modern day Renaissance man. Eclectic musical taste. Sous chef. Computer geek. Starving artist. Winemaker. He carves prayer objects from stone in his spare time. From logging and commercial fishing in Alaska as a youth to fifteen years developing software to the beer business to a winery cellar rat to running a distillery, he's been around the block a few times.

Today he overseas Sub Rosa Spirits, an Oregon based micro-distillery located in Dundee that makes culinary inspired spirits and distillates.

Linda Lausmann, his reluctant partner in the hairbrained adventure, is the chef. She is a remarkable and natural cook. Making great tasting food comes easily to her. Linda has worked at the famous Ark restaurant in Nahcotta, Washington. She's also won awards for her recipes, cooked for wineries and is known far and wide as a gracious host. She's been known to go by the name of "beef girl".

That'd be a great porn queen name of course, if the moniker weren't so true. Linda likes her beef rare and tender. Type "beef girl" into Google and she comes up number one in the world. You gotta check it out. Try setting this up for your spouce and see if they're talking to you afterwards! It's gotta be love or I'd be dead meat.

We also would like to thank our back office staff for all their assistance over the last year. Without their help, things would grind to a halt. Give these girls a little respect.
